Cappuccino was so-so. The milk foam was perfect, but unfortunately the coffee tasted very watery. The dessert (chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream) was ok for the price. The cake hardly tasted chocolatey and otherwise not much. The chocolate sauce tasted flat, but still more like chocolate. In contrast to everything else, the vanilla ice cream tasted perfect. It was wonderfully vanilla and not too sweet. All in all I would not recommend the cafe if you are looking for coffee and delicious desserts.

Very friendly staff, Excellent food, cozy atmosphere, very recommendable. I have known Cafe Abel for over 50 years, during that time I saw all the renovations and a change of ownership, but the quality of the food, the warmth of the owners and the staff has remained at an above-average level over the years as long as I go on vacation to Oberreitnau Abel will remain the 1st choice for me.
